Soul Train Cruise Comedy Club featuring Shaun Jones, Howie Bell, Meshelle, and Turae

Shaun Jones is a New Jersey native who has been tantalizing the comedy world with his quick wit and universal style of comedy for over two decades. Shaun has traveled abroad, entertaining crowds using many of his personal life experiences to connect with any and every audience, bringing constant laughter to all. Just like an accomplished chef, Shaun's comedy is a combination of a cup of the truth, a tablespoon of originality, and a double twist of humor. When he takes the stage, he mixes his talents before the audience, bakes his show just right and serves up a unique comedy dish that will satisfy your laughter appetite.

Shaun has made several television appearances on shows like, B.E.T’s “Comic View,” Starz’s "1st Amendment Standup," Robert Townsend's “Partners In Crime - The Next Generation," and “The Mo'Nique Show”. He was also in the 2003 motion picture "Shade" starring Jamie Foxx and Sylvester Stallone, as the crooked poker player, Mr.Ose in IDTV's "Your Worst Nightmare” as Deputy Sheriff Mary Ols.

 Howie Bell is a 28 year “Stand-up Comedian” and actor, born and raised in Detroit, MI. From the start, Bell has taken the comedy game to the “next level”. He's appeared on several stand-up specials such as, “Comedy After Dark” (Comedy Central 2013), 6 seasons of "Comic View" (BET) including the most recent edition “One Mic Stand” hosted by Kevin Hart. “Jamie Foxx's LAFFAPALOOZA!” (Comedy Central), “Byron Allan’s Comics Unleashed”, and 2 seasons on “Black Men Revealed” (TV 1). In 2007, Bell was nominated for “Best Comedic Performance” by the “NAMIC” Awards, for his performance on “Robert Townsend Presents: Partner’s in Crime “The next Generation”.

Howie Bell was given the opportunity to Host Kevin Hart's "HART of the CITY" taping for the Detroit performance that aired on the 2nd season of the series featured on Comedy Central. As well as “Headline” KEVIN HART’s “Heartbeat Weekend” in Las Vegas in 2017.

Howie Bell has also enjoyed “road” success as well. Performing on the National “BAD BOYS of COMEDY TOUR”, Laffapalooza festivals in Atlanta, GA, JAMIE FOXX’s “Y2K tour” & “Unpredictable Tour” as well as THE IMPROV, Funny Bone, The Laugh Factory, The Comedy store, and various other comedy clubs across the country. 

Bell has also toured with several “A-list” Comics including JAMIE FOXX, KATT WILLIAMS, RICKEY SMILEY, JOE TORRY and King of Comedy CEDRIC THE ENTERTAINER. 

Howie Bell has also had the opportunity to be a part of some film projects such as: 
“Once Upon a Time in Detroit”, “Hollywon’t”, “Gangsta Rap: The Glockumentary”, “Detroit Unleaded” , and “ALL Jokes Aside” (Documentary).

Satellite Radio and podcasts have also been on the menu. He once was a part of the DASH RADIO FAMILY for several years as a part of “The Kevin Tate Show w/ Howie Bell” and “The Stand-Up Show” a show that in which Bell was the Editor, Producer, and the Host. He also makes frequent appearances and Broadcasts w “The Michael Colyer Show” and “Quakeshouse” On Sirius Radio Channel 96 - featuring National Comedian EARTHQUAKE. 

Howie Bell has also been in the “writing arena” as well. Creatively contributing to the sketches that landed his improv/sketch group the “Otha Level” a spot at the “Bumpershoot” festival (Seattle, WA) and a slot at the HBO Aspen Comedy festival (2000). And one of Bell’s “sketches” made the cut at the “MTV VMA’s” in 2005.

Howie Bell also heads the “HBz Premier Comedy Agency” that books Live “Stand-up Comedy” events nationwide. Most notably the “Latino Laff Blast” featuring JOEY MEDINA, and ALEX REYMUNDO, 2 of the “Latin Kings of Comedy” and “SUPER COMEDY WEEK” a weeklong comedy festival in Detroit that was an “official event of the Super Bowl Host committee” for Super Bowl XL. 

Howie Bell’s other talents include: Dancing, fraternity stepping, singing, and writing.


 MESHELLE "The Indie-Mom of Comedy" is an award-winning stand-up comedian, solo performer, and playwright who has successfully managed to bring awareness to how the arts can foster social impact and activism through comedy.

For over 2 decades, MESHELLE has performed, curated and produced content for corporate and private events as well as ticketed club and theater shows that speak to the cultural and sociopolitical issues of our times. As an alumni fellow of the Open Society Foundation and a Winner of the Baker Artist Award, MESHELLE has authentically merged advocacy and the arts to give voice to campaigns, projects and initiatives impacting black women of all ages.

A passionate and fearless stand up, MESHELLE takes the art and business of stand-up comedy very seriously while bringing levity to some of our nation's deeply rooted historical, racial and gender injustices. MESHELLE'S creed: " If We Can Laugh About It, We Can Talk About It, And Work Strategically to Make Systemic Change." MESHELLE is a proud HBCU graduate (Bowie State University) and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Her award-winning one-woman play - Diary Of A MILF ("Mom I'd Love To Follow”) has been featured in theaters, festivals (United Solo Festival, NYC and The Midtown International Theater Festival, NYC; Atlanta Black Theater Festival, Atlanta, GA; DC Black Theater Festival, Washington, DC) and Joe's Pub @ The Public Theater in Historic Astor Place, NYC.

MESHELLE's latest solo show: Can I Be Great: Life After 20 Years Inside made its NYC debut to a SOLD OUT audience on August 13, 2022 at Joe's Pub @ The Public Theater. The show is a performative love letter utilizing stand-up comedy, music, and storytelling to bring awareness to racial disparities, socio-cultural historic biases, and the self-imposed disconnects to accessing quality health care for black women. Highlighting that physical and mental health are inextricably connected.

MESHELLE has appeared on Nickelodeon, TruTV, BET, TVOne, Starz, NBC and FOX.


 TuRae’s comedy career began while attending Temple University in Philadelphia Encouraged by friends, he entered and won his first open mic competition at the famous Laff House Comedy Club. Drawing on his urban upbringing and experiences, the 6'6 not a basketball star and neighborhood geek demonstrates an engaging and earnest style of comedy with broad appeal.

TuRae’s debut on Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham” continued his stay on television with more than 10 stand up appearances on the BET network programs such as “Comic View, The Sumner Report, One Mic Stand, and Partners in Crime” 

TuRae has become a recognizable face on the network and a favorite in the marketplace. The urban comedy magazine Humor Mill described TuRae’s performance on HBO's "Def Comedy Jam" as one of the "funniest of the season." 

TuRae took to the road for national tours with Sommore as host of her "Royal Comedy Tour" and the "Standing Ovation" tour. TuRae was also asked to open dates for the legendary R&B group New Edition's 30th Anniversary Reunion Tour. Expanding on his comedic talents, TuRae came into his own as a writer, penning routines for Sommore's "Chandelier Status" comedy special, as well as monologues for the latest season of Comicview on BET, & scene writing for the VH-1 show "This Is Hot 97". After taping Comedy Central's "Hart of the City".., TuRae was invited back to the Just For Laughs Montreal Comedy Festival to film Kevin Hart Presents: LOL Network. In 2017 TuRae was named the HBO Wings Comedy Competition champion as he wowed audiences at the American Black Film Festival in Miami. Once again television requested his services as he will appear on BET Networks latest comedy variety show “50 Central”
