We are less than 7 months away from the 2017 Soul Train Cruise sailing and counting down the days! A few days ago I was talking to my good friend and cruise host, Tony Cornelius, about the upcoming voyage and we both came to the same conclusion -- we cannot wait to see you all again on “The Hippest Trip at Sea” in early March. Boy, are we are ready to get away.
On a positive note, it was a pleasure to watch the excitement and support of the U.S. Olympic team in Rio. I couldn’t stop watching our men and women competing especially in gymnastics, basketball, beach volleyball, swimming, and track & field! Interesting tidbit, the USA Basketball team stayed on a luxury cruise ship in Rio during the Olympics, not much different from the one we will be sailing on during the Soul Train Cruise.
Looking back, it has been and continues to be a tumultuous year with all the violence and political upheaval around the world and especially here in the U.S. With the two political conventions recently taken place this summer, it reminds me that I must get out and vote in November and make sure my voice is heard. I hope you all will do the same for whomever you chose to support.
